MCCUMBEE TO DRIVE THE NO. 71 MODSPACE CHEVY AT TALLADEGA
Mooresville, N.C. (October 27, 2010) - Chad McCumbee will drive the No. 71 ModSpace Chevrolet Impala SS on Oct. 31, 2010 in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway as ModSpace continues their partnership with TRG Motorsports, LLC as the primary sponsor. McCumbee is expected to challenge the best drivers and cars in their 500-mile push to victory lane.
"We are honored to continue our support for this great sport and especially excited about running with TRG at Talladega this weekend," says ModSpace Director of Motorsports William Mann. "Anything can happen at Talladega. In the April race, there were 75 lead changes and 29 different leaders. Chad will be a contributor to the success of TRG Motorsports for this upcoming race. We look forward to a strong run on this unpredictable track."
McCumbee presently pilots the No. 1 ModSpace car in the ARCA Racing Series having posted seven top-10 finishes this past season. The 26-year-old made his NSCS debut at Pocono Raceway in the No. 45 Petty Enterprises entry in 2007 and gained additional experience in 2008 making six starts under the Petty Enterprises banner.
"I'm both proud and excited to drive for ModSpace and TRG this weekend in Talladega," says McCumbee. "It's a blessing to get back into the Cup garage and compete with the best drivers in the world. I'm looking forward to getting to Talladega and putting together a solid performance for everyone."

The Supply, N.C., native competed at Talladega Superspeedway in 2006 through 2009 in the NASCAR Camping World Series (formerly the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series) and in 2008 McCumbee had a 10-place finish on the 2.66-mile tri-oval.
"We are familiar with Chad from the truck series," says TRG Motorsports owner Kevin Buckler. "Chad was always super competitive when he ran against us in the truck series and he has strong superspeedway experience. We have a good car and some great set-up notes to help him get comfortable right from the first practice. We also have our friends and partners, ModSpace on the car again this weekend and we are looking for a strong run."
The AMP Energy Juice 500 at Talladega Superspeedway will be televised live starting at 1:00 p.m. ET on ESPN with the prerace show starting at 12:00. Qualifying be run on Saturday, October 30 and will be televised live on the SPEED Channel starting at 12:00 p.m. ET. Additional race coverage can be heard on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and XM/Sirius Satellite Radio.
