Chad McCumbee launched his Late Model program in 2009 and had visions set from day one. His goal was to help racers much like himself that may not have the connections to get where Chad is blessed to be today. In 2009 this meant a two car program which utilized a full time weekly racing car at Myrtle Beach Speedway, and a part time car that Chad himself can submit in special events and promotional races.
The fleet of cars in the CMR stable utilizes Marlowe Racing Chassis and DP Performance Racing Engines. Chad and crew build and prepare the race cars in their coastal location of Supply, NC. Only the most up to date technology goes into these machines and that is why CMR is a threat to win and a top contender at each race. CMR driver Terry Evans showed much promise in his Rookie Late Model season, and his first year with the CMR owned program. Evans piloted the # 20 Chevrolet to 10 top 5 and 18 top 10 finishes in 2009 on his way to winning “Rookie of the Year” honors at Myrtle Beach Speedway.
CMR continues to grow into one of the premier Late Model Stock teams in the southeast. Goals are to continue to expand the team and grow the driver development program. Contact CMR for more information!
